Debt Consolidation Loans Even With Bad Credit | YodZiaN.CoM ...

> Debt Consolidation > Debt Consolidation Loans Even With Bad Credit

When you have bad credit it can seem extremely hard to try and repair it. There is a way to do repair your credit that many people are not aware of. Debt consolidation loans are meant to help repair your credit and pay back all of your debts all with one loan payment.

By taking all of your debts and putting them together and paying them once a month regularly, your credit can be restored in no time at all. By taking out a debt consolidation loan, you are making the debt you owe more manageable, and easier to repay. Paying on the debts regularly can improve your credit score.

You may obtain a debt consolidation loan with a secured loan, meaning with collateral, or an unsecured loan, meaning without collateral. A secured loan can get you $5,000 ? $75,000, but an unsecured can get you up to $25,000.

Always try to be aware of your credit score before applying for any loan. A credit score can range from 300-850, and if your score is 580 or below it is considered poor credit. You can obtain your credit report over the internet through credit reporting companies.

Debt consolidation loans are good for those with $5,000 or above in debt. Consolidating low interest loans would not be beneficial to you very much at all.

Debt consolidation can be very useful to you, but only if you actually pay on the loan. If you should not pay on the loan it just worsens your credit. It will also just increase your debt and take away your chances of correcting your credit score again.

87% The Dark Knight Rises

My most anticipated film of the year has finally arrived! Christopher Nolan has unleashed the final chapter in his influential Batman trilogy. The Dark Knight Rises was worth the wait. In my opinion, this didn't surpass The Dark Knight, which I think is the best in the trilogy. However, The Dark Knight Rises is a thrilling conclusion to this series. Christopher Nolan has once again proved that he's one of the best directors and storytellers in Hollywood now. The film picks up eight years after The Dark Knight. Batman has taken the blame for Harvey Dent's crimes as well as his death. Bruce Wayne has gave up and Batman and has locked himself in his mansion ever since. Gotham City is now peaceful thanks to Commissioner James Gordon. Bruce returns to the public eye thanks to Selina Kyle, his maid who is also a burglar known as Catwoman, and Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises businesswoman and his love interest. Evil begins to emerge in Gotham thanks to a muscular terrorist known as Bane. Bruce Wayne must put the Batman cape and cowl back on and save Gotham before it's nothing but rubble. Batman must get help from Catwoman and Police Officer John Blake. I saw the film split into three acts. The first act shows us who life has been for our favorite characters for the past eight years. The second act introduces us to Bane and he introduces his evil scheme and the third act is the action-packed climax. Believe me when I say it is one heck of a climax! Christopher Nolan is a good storyteller and this film did have a pretty good story. The film starts off a little slow but it keeps you interested. In my opinion, the second act got a little boring. I was tempted to go to sleep but I did not want to miss how Nolan was going to wrap up his trilogy. The third act delivers amazing action and there are plot twists that I did not see coming. For some reason, I didn't care much for Bane's evil scheme but Nolan was able to make it seem intense during the climax. I still prefer The Joker's evil scheme. The film told a good but not great story. The film focused a lot on Bruce Wayne's issues but we already went through that in Batman Begins. As a matter of fact, there isn't a whole lot of Batman but when he's on screen, he kicks butt. The Dark Knight Rises bore me in a few parts but it was overall an exciting flick. I can tell Christopher Nolan gave it his all in this movie. He had to make a worthy follow-up to The Dark Knight, one of the best movies ever made. My anticipation for this film was very high. I did not want to be let down. While this film wasn't as phenomenal as the last, I still give Christopher Nolan a lot of props. His sharp writing and stylish direction are all in this film. The film's script is sharp and has intelligence and emotion. Plus, the actors deliver their lines very well. Michael Caine sure knows how to deliver a monologue. The film does have a nihilistic tone and Nolan knows how to get it right. Although Bane's scheme wasn't the best villainous plan, Nolan makes the situation intense due to the tone. The climax kept me at the edge of my seat. I loved Wally Pfister's cinematography. It just takes the scope of the film to a higher level. The action sequences are intended to be seen in IMAX but I couldn't get to see the movie that way. I'd like to see it again in that format. The film is a nice one to look at. The cinematography is grand and the dialogue in this film is well written. Christopher Nolan knows how to direct actors. If you can't act, then you can't be in a Nolan film. That's probably how he rolls. Christian Bale delivers another strong performance as the best Bruce Wayne ever put on film. I must say that the Batman voice has improved over the last one. It's still graspy but not as over the top. I really liked Bale in this film but I thought he looked silly when he was walking with a cane and had a long beard in the beginning. He looked like he was in his eighties or his nineties. I know you're trying to hide yourself from the world, Bruce Wayne, but don't make yourself look like a hobo. Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman kill it again in their roles. I found myself very interested in Matthew Modine's character. I didn't hate his character and I didn't completely fall in love with his character. His views on Batman were interesting. I don't remember if he played a big part in the climax. Matthew Modine was very good in this movie. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Police Officer John Blake. Batman doesn't show up a whole lot in this movie but this guy does. I thought Gordon-Levitt did terrific. I could see this guy as a real-life cop. He was heroic, serious, and put the lives of others before him. I loved seeing John Blake when he was on screen. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been in a lot of stuff lately and I must say that this guy can act. Tom Hardy did very well as Bane. He's nowhere as good as Heath Ledger's Joker and will probably not get an Oscar nomination. Hardy didn't try to be like Ledger. Although both of them played villains, they are different. Bane is a terrorist and while The Joker did have some terrorist aspects in him, he was more of a psycho madman. Although he can be hard to understand due to his mask, muzzle, or whatever you call it, Bane was intimidating. When he appeared on screen, you knew our characters were in peril. I liked Anne Hathaway's spin on Catwoman. It's different from past incarnations of the character. This Catwoman was a mix of a spy and a burglar. They never addressed her as Catwoman throughout the entire movie. She was technically Catwoman because her alias was Selina Kyle and she was quick like a cat. Thank goodness she only said one cat pun in this movie. It's hard to compare her to Michelle Pfeiffer because the two were very different. I thought the Catwoman character wouldn't fit Nolan's reality-grounded Batman universe but they pulled it off well. Anne looked smokin' in that Catwoman outfit. Me-ow! Marion Coltiard did a good job as Miranda Tate and there are two very cool cameos that I enjoyed. I know, finally! That last paragraph is finally over. I think it's appropriate to say that the acting was my favorite aspect of the film. For crying out loud, the longest paragraph in this review is all about the acting. This entire trilogy was free from bad performances. Since this series is very reality-grounded, the film isn't crammed with a whole lot of CGI. The only CGI in this film is when Batman is riding around in the Bat-Pod or Batwing. I know it's called The Bat in the film but it will always be called the Batwing to me. The Batwing, or The Bat, looked completely awesome and the special effects used on it were awesome. Another thing that is amazing in this film is the score done by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. It's a pitch perfect score and one of the greatest. I think all the Batman themes are awesome. The Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard theme, the Danny Elfman theme, and even the one from the 60s TV show. The score fits perfectly with the action scene. It just takes the awesomeness to a higher level. The score during the dramatic scenes is also very good. Every time the themes came on, I found myself humming it or pretending to play it on the piano. The Dark Knight Rises is a very good film maybe even great. From the moment The Dark Knight faded to black, my expectations for this film began to grow and they were very high. My expectations grew higher and higher as every scrap of news and trailer was released. I feel the second film is the best in the trilogy. Try to put your expectations aside as you watch this film because not all of them may be fulfilled. The film isn't perfect but it is still a satisfying conclusion to a great trilogy. I know Warner Bros. is planning to reboot this series again but I hope we don't see it for a long time. If it comes out too soon, I feel it would kill the impact that this series had. Every entry in this series took the superhero genre to new heights. Thanks to this, The Amazing Spider-Man, and The Avengers, I can see the genre going in a new direction. Despite some problems and issues I had with the film, it was still a darn good flick. I went to see this at an AMC theater and I got to see the first two films on the big screen before the midnight premiere of this film. I was just amazing to see the entire trilogy back-to-back on the big screen and see how Batman evolves over the course of the three films. I plan to see this movie again while it's still in the theatre. Christopher Nolan wrapped up The Dark Knight Trilogy fantastically and I can't wait to see what he and Zack Snyder do with the Superman franchise next year with Man of Steel. Thank you, Christopher Nolan and company for this amazing series. R.I.P. Victims of the Colorado tragedy. James Holmes must burn in Hell for his despicable act of senseless violence. "You don't fear death. You welcome it."

Romney struggles to stem his own Olympics fallout

LONDON (AP) ? Mitt Romney struggled Friday to stem political fallout at home after insulting Britain's handling of the London Games. The stumble at least briefly pitted the Republican presidential candidate against America's strongest ally while limiting his ability to capitalize on more troubling U.S. economic news.

At the same time, President Barack Obama used his office to try to take advantage of the Republican's missteps abroad, praising Britain for its Olympics preparations one day and sending money to Israel the next ? just as Romney prepared to visit that nation.

The confluence of events ? just as the world focused on London's opening ceremonies ? confounded Republicans and tickled Democrats. People in both parties wondered aloud how the former Massachusetts governor could have complicated the opening leg of a three-nation tour carefully crafted to highlight his diplomatic strengths and personal Olympic experience.

"You have to shake your head," GOP strategist Karl Rove said Friday on Fox News.

It was unclear just how much damage Romney, who had hoped to burnish his limited foreign policy credentials, did with an American electorate that hasn't fully tuned into the race. But he certainly stoked talk in political circles in Washington, if not elsewhere, of political tone-deafness, and he raised questions about his readiness to stand on the world stage.

He drew more attention Friday night when he attended the opening ceremonies. Just as the show was about to begin, one BBC host noted that Britain's team was ready for the games ? "despite what Mitt Romney says."

Publicly at least, Romney's campaign shrugged it all off as having little impact on American voters and moved aggressively to change the subject. His aides hastily organized a conference call with reporters to discuss his schedule in Jerusalem and preview a speech there two days away.

British press reports laced with lingering resentment targeting Romney's initial comment ? that problems with Olympic preparations were "disconcerting" ? made it difficult for him to turn the page.

A day after London Mayor Boris Johnson assailed Romney by name in a rally before tens of thousands, Britain's Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt, the cabinet minister in charge of the Olympics, lashed out at him.

"When we have the opening ceremony tonight and we tell the world that eight of the world's top 10 sports were either invented or codified in Britain ? and only two in America ? I hope Mr. Romney is watching," he said Friday.

Seeking to quiet the uproar in its second full day, Romney declared on NBC: "It looks to me like London is ready." He also observed, "It is hard to put on the games in a major metropolitan area." Asked about the stir, he said, "I'm absolutely convinced that the people here are ready for the games, and in just a few moments, all the things the politicians say will be swept away" by excitement over the competition.

Romney's trip comes just over 100 days before an election that is expected to be close and, for now at least, is dominated by the economy's sluggish recovery.

Underscoring it, the Commerce Department released new numbers Friday showing that the U.S. economic growth slowed to an annual rate of 1.5 percent from April through June, as Americans cut back on spending.

But, because he was overseas, Romney was in no position to try to leverage the latest figures for political gain. He's spent his entire campaign doing that to press his argument that Obama has had long enough to spark the economy and has failed.

Romney was keeping to his promise not to criticize Obama directly while on foreign soil. Instead, he dispatched a series of allies to lambaste the president.

"Despite a string of bad economic reports, President Obama refuses to change course," said Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, a potential Romney running mate.

As Romney was dealing with the Olympics slip, the White House on Thursday emphasized that Obama was on Britain's side, a suggestion that Romney was not.

Said press secretary Jay Carney: "In keeping with our special relationship, the president also made it clear that he has the utmost confidence in our close friend and ally, the United Kingdom, as they finalize preparations to host the London Olympics."

By Friday, Obama, himself, sought to upstage his Republican opponent.

One day before Romney's visit to Israel, Obama signed legislation increasing military and civilian ties between the U.S. and Israel. And he authorized the release of an additional $70 million in military aid for Israel, a previously announced move that appeared timed to Romney's trip.

While Obama sometimes signs bills in private, the White House invited reporters and photographers into the Oval Office ? and made sure the cameras captured both the signing and the president flanked by Jewish-American leaders.

Obama never mentioned Romney or the election in his brief remarks. But he did use the opportunity to trumpet what he called his administration's "unshakable commitment to Israel." He added: "I have made it a top priority for my administration to deepen cooperation with Israel across a whole spectrum of security issues ? intelligence, military, technology."

The new money is aimed at helping Israel expand production of a short-range rocket defense system, called Iron Drone, that can block fire from nearby Gaza and other places.

Obama's move underscored the advantages that come with running as an incumbent: He has the power to authorize tangible assistance to Israel, while Romney can only make promises.

Obama made his own minor slip during the signing, first saying he was authorizing $70 million, then changing the sum to $70 billion even though the lower figure was correct.

Seeking to counter Romney's appearance at the Games, Obama's campaign also rolled out a television advertisement for American audiences during the opening ceremonies featuring the president promoting his middle-class economic agenda. It was a way for Obama to guarantee himself a presence during the event that Romney was attending. First lady Michelle Obama is attending Olympic events in London.

Romney, for his part, is to leave London on Saturday. His efforts to highlight his leadership during the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City were lost.

Even as he sought to strike a cautious stance Friday, Romney raised eyebrows anew when he referred to looking out of the "back side" of 10 Downing St., Cameron's residence, to see the beach volleyball stadium. The term "back side" is the common local term for derriere.

Reaching Your Personal Development Goals With Ease - Golf Base

You should be comfortable promoting and working within the boundaries of your strengths. Each person has their own set of skills. That is what makes our planet so great. Don?t waste time on what you are not good at, but rather keep your focus on the skills you have and use them wisely.

You should try to find and read books that tell you about personal development. The best personal development books can give you new ideas and advice that could change your life forever. Look for a book that is backed by very positive and very credible reviews because certain personal development books are written terribly.

Determine which aspects of your life you truly value, and concentrate solely on those. Focus on the more positive things in life because they matter. Do not focus on the negative things because they don?t matter, and you will have a lot better inner peace.

Listening is equally as valuable as speaking when you are communicating. This is definitely true concerning personal development. Many people talk to themselves, and this is something you should be doing as well. In addition, listen to yourself very carefully. Make sure you always pay attention to what your inner voice is telling you, so you can properly understand and meet your needs, which is essential if you want to improve yourself as a person.

Live according to your principles. Your personality is strongly shaped and supported by these principles. Following these beliefs will help your sense of self-esteem. It gives your life meaning and a solid structure to build around. Doing this will help you develop consistency, which is a good trait to have.

Go to the movies with a friend. This gets you out into a social setting, but does not require you to socialize to the point where you are uncomfortable. It also helps you feel comfortable around crowds.

Focus on the things you want, create a plan to get them, and keep the following things in mind. This simple lesson is to take initiative over your life, and to never step back and watch passively. Observing instead of doing causes you to appear dead to most of the world.

Pay attention to your physical limitations when you are trying to reach a goal. Trying your hardest and doing your best are important, but not important enough to ignore the warning signs of an impending limit. Your health and your body are the most important things, so always take care of them when you are pursuing a goal. Not taking care of your body will actually make things worse over time, being very counter-productive to personal development.

Learn what others have done that has made them successful. Pay special attention to their mistakes, as well as their overall strategies, so that you don?t have to learn the hard way. Knowing that other people have succeeded at the same goal will make it seem more attainable to you.

Start an emergency fund. It?s common for us to add even more charges to our already overtaxed credit cards whenever an unforeseen expense arises, no matter how large or small. Putting back a few dollars weekly can build an emergency fund quickly. This fund will help you stay out of debt if you have to face an emergency.

You need to know what it is that you want your life to be if you want to develop as a person. Choosing long-term goals will help you to gain the right perspective for finding success in life.

Make sure that you have specific and tangible personal development goals. If you set goals that are clearly laid out, you will improve your chances of meeting or surpassing them. This makes it easier to overcome challenging tasks, and helps you enjoy the sweet taste of success quicker.

The people in your life should have similar interests. They?ll help you stay on track by being good role models for positive behavior, and you?ll better balance any negative energy you get from people who aren?t as supportive of your self-improvement goals.

You should stay in great physical condition in order to get the best out of personal development. Simple things such as getting plenty of quality sleep, eating a nutritious diet and exercising regularly will keep your energy levels up and give you a better chance of reaching the personal development goals you have set for yourself. This might sound simple but changing your lifestyle will require a lot of efforts from you.

If you are depressed, pay attention to your complex carb intake and boost it. Adding complex carbohydrates can help keep your body?s serotonin level up. A good way to increase your intake is by adding whole grains, beans, brown rice, nuts, fresh fruits and raw veggies to your diet.

One way to make progress in your life is be humble. Understand that you are one part of the bigger picture. When you realize your place in the universe, you realize that you have a lot to learn. After accepting this fact, you will have a desire to seek out knowledge, which will cause you to grow and develop as a person.

It?s often said that listening is no less important than speaking when it comes to effective communication. This is very true for personal development skills. You should tune in to your own needs and desires when thinking or talking to yourself. If you?re not able to hear yourself, you can?t possibly get a grasp on what is truly necessary for self improvement.

Create a personal development plan by determining what your personal values are. Trying to change yourself in ways that are not in line with your values, is not a good idea. Focus on what makes you a happier person and what needs to be improved. By doing this, changes that you choose to make will be much easier to adhere to.

Measure your progress by organizing as much as you can. You may find it easier to achieve your goals if you break them down into smaller components. Use a daily planner or a dedicated journal to keep track of changes in your personal development.

Use your strengths and patience to make difficult changes. Each person has their own set of skills. That is what makes our planet so great. Don?t waste time on what you are not good at, but rather keep your focus on the skills you have and use them wisely.

Hopefully you, and those that matter to you, can benefit a lot from this article. Applying the advice from this article can really have a positive outcome for your future as long as you are determined to make the changes. The quality of your life can be vastly improved if you use these suggestions in your personal development plan

Starbucks cuts outlook as world economy struggles

NEW YORK (AP) ? Starbucks managed to sell pricey lattes and wrangle its way out of the Great Recession stronger than ever. Now the coffee chain is again being pressured by a slowing global economy.

The Seattle-based coffee seller said Thursday that net income in its fiscal third quarter rose 19 percent from a year ago. But Wall Street analysts expected more, and were further disappointed when the company cut its outlook for the current quarter because of a recent slowdown in U.S. customer traffic and persisting challenges in hard-hit European regions.

Shares slumped 10 percent in after-hours trading.

For the quarter, Starbucks said global revenue at cafes open at least a year rose 6 percent in its most recent quarter. The increase in the metric ? important because it strips out the effect of recently opened and closed stores ? was driven by a 12 percent increase in China and Asia and a 7 percent increase in the Americas.

In June and July, however, the company noted that traffic had slowed amid persistently high unemployment and shaky consumer sentiment.

"Traffic trends are noticeably down in many parts of the U.S.," said Troy Alstead, the company's chief financial officer, of the quarter that ended July 1. That trend continued into July.

In the European market, where Starbucks is struggling to turn around its business, the sales figure was flat.

"Europe has been a challenge for us all year and continues to be," Alstead said. He noted that the flat sales were an improvement from the previous quarter, however, when the figure slipped 1 percent.

To perk up its business in the region, Starbucks has been instituting measures similar to those it took during the downturn in the U.S. a few years ago, such as introducing loyalty programs and improving service.

It's also considering closing unprofitable stores in Europe, which could result in charges of up to $20 million in the current quarter. The company noted that closures in the U.S. during the recession helped strengthen the company.

"We have great confidence that we are going to be able to turn Europe around," said CEO Howard Schultz. Still, the company says its store expansions next year will be focused in the United States and the fast-growing China market.

But a slowing global economy isn't the only concern for the company. As Starbucks faces increasing competition from fast-food chains offering specialty coffees, it is moving to expand beyond its ubiquitous cafes. This year, it has plans to expand its push into the fast growing premium juice and single-cup coffee markets.

For the three months ended July 1, the company said it earned $333.1 million, or 43 cents per share. That's compared with $279.1 million, or 36 cents per share, a year ago.

Total revenue rose 13 percent to $3.3 billion.

Analysts on average expected a profit of 45 cents per share on revenue of $3.34 billion. The higher revenue was the result of increased customer traffic and customers spending more per visit, Starbucks said.

For the current quarter, Starbucks cut its profit outlook to 44 cents to 45 cents per share from a range of 46 cents to 47 cents per share. Analysts were predicting 48 cents per share.

Shares dropped $5.22 to $47.19 in after-hours trading. During the trading day, shares had gained $1.99, or 4 percent, close at $52.40.

Jason Stanford: The Miracle Chick-fil-A Performed in My Life

It can be hard for consumers dedicated to civil rights or family values to keep things, er, straight. For example, you can buy Oreos (gay) and General Mills products such as Cheerios, Chex, Total, Trix, and Wheaties (all gay) at Walmart (anti-gay). You can buy Girl Scout cookies (gay) and donate to the Salvation Army (anti-gay) outside the Home Depot (gay), but you would have known that already if you had Googled (gay).

One Million Moms says you shouldn't shop at JCPenney because they hired lesbian Ellen DeGeneres as their spokesperson and featured same-sex couples in their ads, proving that they "cater to homosexuals and their sinful lifestyle choices."

The American Family Association says you shouldn't read Archie comic books because they created a gay character. The Family Research Council says you ought not buy video games made by EA because a few of its games have gay characters. Oh, you also can't shop at Toys "R" Us because they sold this stuff.

And when Starbucks came out for marriage equality in Washington state, the National Organization for Marriage announced a "Dump Starbucks" boycott, leading one special snowflake in Colorado to buy Starbucks coffee and then dump it into the gutter.

If you're not a dialed-in activist or a paranoid zealot and are just trying to get the kids out the door in the morning with a hot breakfast in their stomachs and a healthy lunch in their backpacks, it can be hard to do the right thing with your dollar. And we're only talking about gay rights, and not partisan contributions, environmental policies, or labor rights, let alone worrying about what's healthy or affordable.

But then Chick-fil-A happened. We already knew they closed on Sundays to be with their families, because we might have, on occasion, rolled up after a long Saturday night looking for the miraculous cure that only comes from their fried chicken biscuits. And we know there's a God because those chicken biscuits are so good.

This all started on July 16, when Chick-fil-A's president and chief operating officer Dan Cathy gave a sincere and direct interview with the Baptist Press about how his religious beliefs informed his business practices. When asked about opposition to Chick-fil-A's having given millions to advocates for so-called traditional marriage, Cathy chirped, "Well, guilty as charged."

That's when the Chick hit the fan. Odds are if you're a Democrat, your social media networks exploded with outrage. The Jim Henson Company, the folks who brought you Kermit and Miss Piggy, severed its ties to the restaurant chain with a Facebook post. Actor Ed Helms said he was never going there again. Former governor Eliot Spitzer declared his own boycott, which surely came as a relief to chickens, fast food workers, and indeed the entire South.

But that doesn't make their chicken biscuits any less delicious. I began to bargain, asking my conservative friends if they'd agree to eat Oreos and Girl Scout cookies so I could go to Chick-fil-A. I thought about organizing a sit-in that might stretch from lunch until dinner.

Then I read Cathy's interview in its entirety and noticed another of his quotations: "We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that."

Cathy and I have things in common. We both like chicken biscuits, and each of us runs a family business. He sponsors a bowl game, and I once coached my youngest son's flag football team.

But I'm on my second marriage. According to Cathy, that's not a "traditional" marriage, and the grafted family tree that works together to raise my sons doesn't meet his definition of a family unit. My life doesn't fit Cathy's definition of biblical principles.

It's too easy for straight allies to think?of gays and lesbians?as separate from us. They need rights we already enjoy. They face bigotry we deplore. But it happens to them, not us. Chick-fil-A has performed a miracle. I'm a straight, middle-class white guy in America, and Chick-fil-A has finally made me feel what it's like to be discriminated against. Also, I have lost my appetite for those chicken biscuits.

3. What Are People saying?

Follow up the by checking out the internet talk. See what people are saying about the program or system you are considering signing up for. Find out what the hype is, and get the general feel to whether people will actually pursue the MLM program and see it the same way you do.

4. Quality of the Training Materials.

You more than likely will not be able to see what the quality of the materials are like until you actually sign up for the program. however you should be able to get a general gist for the quality of the training you will receive when checking all of the above. Most of the time in this present-day and age the training materials are all based online ready for download rather than being in the form of books and tapes as was the case many years ago.

5. Are You Ready?

Finally comes the point of ?Are You Ready?? Are you going to succeed in the MLM program you?ve chosen to promote? Personally I would say it?s a bit like everything else in life: your success will come from your mind-set.

There are hundreds of home business opportunities out there on the web, but without the correct mind-set you?ll more than likely fail to succeed at any of them as 95% of Marketers often do.

In 2012, the MLM and Network Marketing programs that you can find on the internet are quite amazing. the technology surrounding these home based business opportunities is top-notch and much effort has gone into ensuring that the systems run smoothly, efficiently and above all give everyone the opportunity to make money online that maybe would not have been available a short time ago.

Interval Training offers increased fat loss with higher intensity shorter ...

Saturday, July 21, 2012 by: Simon Victor

training

While many people wish to lose weight, healthy weight loss calls for consistency, dedication and time - the latter of these being a precious commodity. Researchers have shown that Interval Training (IT) can dramatically shorten workout sessions and maximize weight loss for those on a tight schedule.

With sessions lasting generally from 10-40 minutes, Interval Training is a method of exercise that calls for alternating periods of high intensity activity and low intensity recovery stints. There are different protocols such as the Tabata method popularized by the research of Dr. Izumi Tabata. Different protocols set out the length of the exertion and rest times - some call for a 2:1 ratio while others claim that a 3:2 ratio is more effective at burning fat.

Regardless of the finer details, the general concept of Interval Training has been proven to be more efficient at overall fitness and endurance of both professional athletes and the general public. A study was conducted by J. L. Talanian et al, Dept. of Human Health and Nutritional Sciences, University of Guelph in Canada, on women between 22 and 65 years old. It was shown that two weeks of High Intensity Interval Training increased fat oxidation by 36 percent and these results did not depend on the fitness level of the subjects before starting the study.

Interval Training is believed to be as effective for fat loss because of the hormonal response that it elicits. It has been observed under study that testosterone, Insulin Growth Factor-I, and growth hormone were increased in subjects involved in Interval Training. An additional by-product of IT has been described by some as a decrease in feelings of hunger throughout the day, which can aid in fat loss.

A 15 minute sample workout could be as follows:

* 3 minutes warm-up walk
* 30 seconds maximum intensity sprint followed by a one minute rest/low intensity jog repeated six times
* 3 minute cool down walk

As there is no definitive protocol, the lengths of each phase can be adjusted to suit a person's fitness level. The only aspect of IT practice that seems to be agreed on is that the maximum intensity spurts must be all out exertion for the subject to get the maximum gain.

To keep time, an interval timer attached to your clothes may be used, or interval timing software for a smartphone may be convenient. For best results, workouts should be two to three sessions per week, and last no longer than 40 minutes per session.

As with any proven method, there is a tradeoff to be made - what Interval Training lacks in terms of time is made up for in intensity. This type of exercise is not for persons prone to medical conditions that do not tolerate high heart rates, as it does tax the cardiovascular system by pushing the individual to their physical limits multiple times per workout session. If there is some risk of intense exertion being detrimental to an individual's well being, a medical professional should be consulted before attempting Interval Training. Additionally, persons who are new to exercising or out of shape should be more generous with the rest periods than someone who is at a higher fitness level.

No longer is there an excuse for not taking charge of your health and fitness. Interval Training needs no gym, no money, and only a little time.

Video: Scientists read monkeys' inner thoughts

Friday, July 20, 2012

Anyone who has looked at the jagged recording of the electrical activity of a single neuron in the brain must have wondered how any useful information could be extracted from such a frazzled signal.

But over the past 30 years, researchers have discovered that clear information can be obtained by decoding the activity of large populations of neurons.

Now, scientists at Washington University in St. Louis, who were decoding brain activity while monkeys reached around an obstacle to touch a target, have come up with two remarkable results.

Their first result was one they had designed their experiment to achieve: they demonstrated that multiple parameters can be embedded in the firing rate of a single neuron and that certain types of parameters are encoded only if they are needed to solve the task at hand.

Their second result, however, was a complete surprise. They discovered that the population vectors could reveal different planning strategies, allowing the scientists, in effect, to read the monkeys' minds.

By chance, the two monkeys chosen for the study had completely different cognitive styles. One, the scientists said, was a hyperactive type, who kept jumping the gun, and the other was a smooth operator, who waited for the entire setup to be revealed before planning his next move. The difference is clearly visible in their decoded brain activity.

The study was published in the July 19th advance online edition of the journal Science.

All in the task

The standard task for studying voluntary motor control is the "center-out task," in which a monkey or other subject must move its hand from a central location to targets placed on a circle surrounding the starting position.

To plan the movement, says Daniel Moran, PhD, associate professor of biomedical engineering in the School of Engineering & Applied Science and of neurobiology in the School of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, the monkey needs three pieces of information: current hand and target position and the velocity vector that the hand will follow.

In other words, the monkey needs to know where his hand is, what direction it is headed and where he eventually wants ot to go.

A variation of the center-out task with multiple starting positions allows the neural coding for position to be separated from the neural coding for velocity.

By themselves, however, the straight-path, unimpeded reaches in this task don't let the neural coding for velocity to be distinguished from the neural coding for target position, because these two parameters are always correlated. The initial velocity of the hand and the target are always in the same direction.

To solve this problem and isolate target position from movement direction, doctoral student Thomas Pearce designed a novel obstacle-avoidance task to be done in addition to the center-out task.

Crucially, in one-third of the obstacle-avoidance trials, either no obstacle appeared or the obstacle didn't block the monkey's path. In either case, the monkey could move directly to the target once he got the "go" cue.

The population vector corresponding to target position showed up during the third hold of the novel task, but only if there was an obstacle. If an obstacle appeared and the monkey had to move its hand in a curved trajectory to reach the target, the population vector lengthened and pointed at the target. If no obstacle appeared and the monkey could move directly to the target, the population vector was insignificant.

In other words, the monkeys were encoding the position of the target only when it did not lie along a direct path from the starting position and they had to keep its position "in mind" as they initially moved in the "wrong" direction.

"It's all," Moran says, "in the design of the task."

And then some magic happens

Pearce's initial approach to analyzing the data from the experiment was the standard one of combining the data from the two monkeys to get a cleaner picture.

"It wasn't working," Pearce says, "and I was frustrated because I couldn't figure out why the data looked so inconsistent. So I separated the data by monkey, and then I could see, wow, they're very different. They're approaching this task differently and that's kind of cool."

The difference between the monkey's' styles showed up during the second hold. At this point in the task, the target was visible, but the obstacle had not yet appeared.

The hyperactive monkey, called monkey H, couldn't wait. His population vector during that hold showed that he was poised for a direct reach to the target. When the obstacle was then revealed, the population vector shortened and rotated to the direction he would need to move to avoid the obstacle.

The smooth operator, monkey G, in the meantime, idled through the second hold, waiting patiently for the obstacle to appear. Only when it was revealed did he begin to plan the direction he would move to avoid the obstacle.

Because he didn't have to correct course, monkey G's strategy was faster, so what advantage was it to monkey H to jump the gun? In the minority of trials where no obstacle appeared, monkey H approached the target more accurately than monkey G. Maybe monkey H is just cognitively adapted to a Whac-A-Mole world. And monkey G, when caught without a plan, was at a disadvantage.

Working with the monkeys, the scientists had been aware that they had very different personalities, but they had no idea this difference would show up in their neural recordings.

"That's what makes this really interesting," Moran says.

xanderhenly: squander foil: News and Society -Crime News Blog ...

Nowadays, murders barely make the headline news; they are so common in everyday living that the shock value is a bit distant and removed. But in 1888, crimes with such cruel intent filled with gore and ruthlessness were unheard of, and that is why the Jack the Ripper murders buzzed throughout the towns and captivated the people of London and surrounding area. The media had a field day with the story, and many believe that it was the media who sent fictitious letters to stir up a frenzy among the people. Whether or not the letters were authentic has never been confirmed.

Experts believe that Jack the Ripper may have had a surgical background. Although his victim's throats were deeply, he proceeded with surgically removing vital organs. What was behind the attacks, what disturbed emotions were connected with the brutal slayings - nobody will every know what provoked the killer to target these women.

Although there was a common denominator among the women, they were all prostitutes. There has been speculation about a scorned brokenhearted man taking out his hurt on these women who may have seemed meaningless. Or an abusive mother figure that led to his hatred for women but those speculations will never settle and will always run ramped in the minds of criminologists everywhere.

There are other unsolved murders that took place during that time and approximately six of those are questionable whether they are related to the Jack the Ripper cases. Prior to the murderous spree that occurred in the Fall of 1888, Annie Millwood received treatment for stab wounds in her stomach and legs on February 25, 1888. Several weeks after being released she died of natural causes. Millwood was also a prostitute trying to support herself after the death of her husband. It has been suggested that she was Ripper's first victim, but that has never been confirmed. Ada Wilson was also attacked by an assailant that fit the description of Jack the Ripper, used a knife as his weapon and, she like the other victims was a prostitute. Although both of these women survived their attacks, they could still be directly linked to Jack the Ripper. Again, speculation that Ripper began his atrocities at a lower level and then graduated to full-fledged murder in the most horrific way.

Jack the Ripper's disdain for women is clear in the way he brutally attacked his victims. How there were target may have been random or they may have been methodically plotted out. However, the only pieces of the puzzle to go on then, and now, is they were all prostitutes; they were all attacked with a knife and over killed and they were all attacked in places where there was an easy accessible getaway.

To this day, ripperology has intrigued many people and they all have intelligent hypothesis of what happened, and who the perpetrator may be and why. The inability to find answers will keep this mystery alive for decades, and even centuries to come.

For more information on going on a Jack the Ripper Tour, check out Brit Movie tours who also offer other tours including the Doctor Who Experience, Jane Austin Tour, Beatles tour and more.

Use These Strategies And You Will No Longer Need A Cigarette ...

When you are trying to quit smoking, be sure that you are drinking plenty of water. Not only is water good for you, but it also fulfills the need to have something in your mouth. Also, large amounts of water help to clear out nicotine and other chemicals in your body caused by cigarettes.

If you experience cravings, remember that the strength of the craving should subside within three to five minutes. Any crave episode triggered by habits (for example, an after-dinner cigarette craving) should subside as long as you distract yourself. Conscious triggers like acute stress may need extra work to overcome.

Don?t worry about being perfect. Most people who quit smoking have to make several attempts at it before they succeed. If you are one of the lucky few who make it on your first try; congratulations. For the rest of you, beating yourself up over it can just stress you out and lead to stronger urges to smoke. Relax and do the best you can.

Prepare to say goodbye. Smoking is not a habit, it is a relationship. You will grieve the loss of an old friend. So you need to be prepared to go through the six stages of grieving a loss and parting ways with your smoker self. Think back to how you have said goodbye to things in the past and apply the successful tricks you used then.

Learn some deep breathing techniques and practice them when you feel the craving for a cigarette. When you feel the urge for a smoke, take a few minutes and breathe deeply through your nose, hold it, and exhale through your mouth. Repeat this until the need for a cigarette has gone away.

If you are thinking about quitting smoking, it is extremely important to have a plan. One of the most important parts of this plan is setting a ?quit date.? This is the date when you plan to completely stop smoking. Whether you want to quit cold turkey or ease your way into it, having a specific date when you want to be done smoking will help you stay on track.

To make quitting smoking seem more straightforward, put the negatives of your smoking habit into numbers. For example, figure out how often you smoke, how many cigarettes you smoke a day and how much it costs you to smoke that much on a daily, monthly and yearly basis. Every time you cut back a little, you?ll know exactly how much you?ve progressed.

Beware of nicotine lollipops to help you stop smoking. They are not licensed as a smoking cessation tool by the FDA and have not been proven to have any inherent qualities that actually help. However, since a good portion of the difficulty in putting down those cigarettes is the oral stimulation they provide, it can be an useful trick psychologically.

Consider all the health benefits to keep you motivated when you are trying to stop smoking. Your blood pressure and pulse will be lower. You will reduce the amount of carbon monoxide in your blood, bringing it back to normal levels. Your chances of heart attack, lung cancer, and emphysema will go down, too.

You should create new routines when you are trying to quit smoking. If you tend to smoke when you are having your first cup of coffee, try reading the news on your phone, instead. These daily habits will quickly become ingrained if you are consistent, making quitting easier in the long run.

When trying to quit smoking, set a goal. Tell yourself that you want to quit by a certain date and that if you are successful, you will reward yourself with something you have been wanting. You can use the money you saved by not smoking to buy this treat! This will give you the motivation you need.

When you decide to quit smoking, be sure to set a quit date. Pick the day that you will definitely smoke your last cigarette, and then stick to it. Write it down and make it a part of your plan. Mark the day on your calendar as the first day of the rest of your smoke-free life.

Whether you want to call it quitting smoking or gaining freedom from tobacco, the road from smoker to ex-smoker seems impassible to many. However, in this article you read ideas, advice and insights from those that are now on the other side of that wall. Put these points into play and you can bat for the other team yourself.

The Dark Knight Rises premiered in London tonight. Anne Hathaway?s was easily the better dress in New York the other day while Marion?s... was disappointing. Click here for a refresher. This round however I give to Marion. It?s Dior, of course, and straight from the F/W 2013 Haute Couture collection that was presented a couple of weeks ago in Paris. Click here to see it on the runway. Marion does it MUCH better than the model. Love the hair, love colour pop on her feet, love the makeup... all of it, gorgeous.

As for Annie...

I?m into the cut of the dress and the collar too. For me it?s the borderline tacky material that?s making me crazy. And so much of it. Mostly though it?s the horrible shoes. Oh God the shoes.

Beckham, Galaxy score late, get draw?vs. Whitecaps

Associated Press Sports

updated 1:31 a.m. ET July 19, 2012

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -The Vancouver Whitecaps could not stop David Beckham when they needed to Wednesday night.

Beckham scored a goal and assisted on another as the L.A. Galaxy roared back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the Whitecaps 2-2 before a disappointed sellout crowd of 21,000 at B.C. Place Stadium.

"Anytime you're 2-0 up and you tie 2-2, it feels like a defeat - that's obvious," Whitecaps coach Martin Rennie said. "But it was an exciting game, an entertaining game, a fantastic crowd tonight and a great atmosphere."

The defending-champion Galaxy (8-10-3) remain four points back of the fourth-place Whitecaps (8-6-7) in the Western Conference.

"We can't complain," L.A. coach Bruce Arena said. "We're getting out of town real quick here (Thursday) and not looking back at all. We're fortunate to get a point."

Second-half substitute Jose Villarreal, 18, secured the tie as he netted his first career MLS goal in the 87th minute. Beckham launched the play as he lobbed a lead ball to Juninho, who flicked it on to Villarreal.

The Inglewood, Calif., native, who was playing only his second game after missing most of the season following surgery on both shins, made no mistake as he turned and beat Vancouver goalkeeper Joe Cannon with a high shot.

"They obviously had a lot of play in the first half, and they played well," said Beckham. "But we were able to capitalize on the hard work that we put in towards the end of the game."

Beckham and Villarreal scored six minutes apart to cap the successful comeback.

Gershon Koffie and Barry Robson, with his first goal as a Whitecap and 100th of his professional career, scored for the Whitecaps in the first half. The tie spoiled a strong effort from Robson in his home debut after the Scottish international began his Vancouver tenure with four road games.

Robson, one of Vancouver's three designated players, sent four shots on goal while taking seven altogether.

"I think after a two-month holiday and coming straight and travelling to four different cities in two different countries I did all right," said Robson, who signed with the Whitecaps in February but had to complete his season with Middlesbrough in England first.

Robson and Beckham went toe-to-toe at times and argued with each other, especially in the late going. But all was forgiven afterward, said Beckham.

"Obviously, we're both passionate about the game and both passionate about winning," said Beckham. "He's Scottish, I'm English, so there's always a little bit of fight there. We went at it a little bit. We spoke after and were fine."

"He's a terrific footballer and a great ambassador for the game," said Robson. "A lot of people look up to him, and he's a nice guy, but on the pitch it doesn't matter who anybody is. At the end of the day I'm trying to win for my team and he's trying to win for his."

A minute after Vancouver's Koffie hit the crossbar, Beckham put the Galaxy on the scoreboard when he fired in a rebound from the top edge of the 18-yard box. The goal came after Bryan Gaul's curling shot hit the corner of the crossbar and post.

It was the third goal in two games for Beckham, but he did not take any consolation in playing the spoiler role in a draw after the crowd booed him the first time he touched the ball.

"I'd much prefer to play a winning goal," said Beckham. "But it's always nice to get a goal. I've scored a couple in the last few games, and it's been enjoyable, because I'm not used to it."

Koffie opened the scoring in the 17th minute following a turnover by Beckham. Vancouver's Brazilian striker Camilo blocked the Englishman's clearing attempt and the ball fell to Koffie. Camilo was knocked down as he ran into a defender, but play continued and Koffie put home a low left-footed shot off L.A. goalkeeper Josh Saunders' hand.

Robson also hit the corner of the post and crossbar from the right flank in the 84th minute. The midfielder was denied again twice in stoppage time as L.A. goalkeeper Saunders caught his shot and then knocked his free kick over the crossbar.

Arena credited Saunders with helping his squad escape with a draw.

"At the end of the game, he had to make some big saves - and he did," Arena said.

NOTES: Vancouver defenders Alain Rochat and DeMerit will be featured in the upcoming edition of the EA Sports FIFA 2013 video game. They will have their movements captured digitally at EA Sports headquarters in Burnaby, British Columbia, on Thursday. ... Vancouver played without injured strikers Eric Hassli (ankle), Omar Salgado (foot), and Atiba Harris (knee), and midfielder John Thorrington (quadriceps).

How to Navigate Social Media Legal Risks: A Book Review | Social ...

This is a book I?ve been waiting for.Working in social media, especially in crisis, I?ve been longing for an accurate, well-written, authoritative, real-time book on the legal side of social media. And haven?t we all? We hear this and that?the Labor Relations Board said this, somebody?s lawyer said that, there was a court ruling over here. There isn?t a norm yet, but that doesn?t mean we aren?t in need of guidelines.?Navigating Social Media Legal Risks?takes us as close as we can get right now.

?Image

Robert McHale (the lawyer) and Eric Garulay (the contributor and social media guru) have put together an invaluable resource for businesses, organizations, and education institutions. I can only hope this is the first of many editions, an evolving work, if you will. This field will be rapidly changing for a long time to come, and we are in need of a guidebook on this journey. I wish I could put this in the hands of every social media manager and communications professional out there. But alas.

The first line in the introduction of the book defines the reasons we need this text:??Social media has evolved from chic, to mainstream, to essential. It represents a monumental shift in marketing because it facilitates unprecedented opportunities for companies to connect with their customers.?

?The book is divided into 12 chapters, and each focuses on a particular legal aspect of how businesses and organizations use social media. Read it cover to cover. Find out how promotions and contests can and cannot be done.? The use of social media in pre-employment screening is a hot topic and gets its own chapter. I was surprised to read that information employers find online often leads to an applicant not getting hired. Why did I think that was illegal? It can be if not gathered correctly or it?s not the kind of information you?re supposed to be gathering in the first place.

One chapter deals mostly with the National Labor Relations Act?s impact on social media and how employers can monitor, regulate, and discipline employees. One of my favorite chapters outlines how social media is presently being used in litigation and discovery. Very interesting stuff about what is being used in various court cases?and the outcomes.? Have you got questions about user-generated content and copyright infringement? This book has you covered.? What about advertising on social media?? Is it a free-for-all? Not according to the authors.

Social media is not exempt from trademark protections, brandjacking, or cybersquatting. Learn how to protect yourself and your brand. Then there?s gamification?what a quagmire. The authors try and bring some understanding to the subject's legal issues. There are also chapters on privacy and security compliance, legal guidelines for developing social media policies, and a look at what?s ahead.

Key Concepts I Learned

  • Employers should familiarize themselves with ?off-duty? laws in their state related to their employees and refrain from considering protected activities in the hiring or firing process.
  • If you?re gathering online information on prospective employees, keep records.
  • All court rulings are not created equal. There aren?t enough rulings out there yet to provide a consistent base to work from. Be careful. You may think you?re in the right just because a judge in New Jersey ruled one way. You may be in for a surprise.
  • Establishing ownership of social media accounts in the workplace is necessary. Personal? Business?
  • You don?t necessarily have a right to pry into the personal lives of your employees, even if their information is posted online.
  • In some situations, your employees have a right to rip you to shreds online. Learn to live with it. Know your rights and theirs. The National Labor Relations Act has much to say on the matter.
  • Be familiar with the Stored Communications Act and know where it applies to you.
  • We shouldn?t have to look any further than the recent Penn State scandal to understand the value of digital communications in a courtroom. Your email is not private when it comes to discovery.
  • Reputations that are wrecked online can often be repaired, but never fixed. We still lack an authority that will order an online entity to take down an errant post.

?There is really so much in this book, it?s hard to cover it all. But just try thinking of your worst social media nightmare?have you got it in your head? Chances are it has already happened to somebody and the authors cover it in this book. You better pick up a copy?you?re liable for the information whether you know it or not.
